Our Story
Wildwood Church of God of Prophecy has been a cornerstone of faith in Cleveland, Tennessee, for generations. What began as a small prayer gathering in 1947 has blossomed into a vibrant congregation that continues to impact our community with the love of Christ.
Through seasons of growth and change, our church has remained steadfast in its commitment to biblical truth, fervent prayer, and compassionate outreach. Today, we stand on the shoulders of faithful pioneers who sacrificed to establish this house of worship, while embracing God's fresh vision for our future.
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. The Bible is our infallible rule of faith and practice, superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Through His blood, all who repent and believe are justified by faith and born into the family of God.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. The Spirit empowers believers for service and endues them with spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church.
As part of the Church of God of Prophecy, we embrace biblical teachings of holiness, prayer, and the priesthood of all believers. We anticipate Christ's imminent return and the resurrection of the dead.
